Amara means "eternal" in Sanskrit. The resort is based on the concept of sustainable & responsible tourism, keeping in mind the need to create and maintain a beautiful environment in which to live. Amara is committed to the mantra of "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" in all operational aspects of the resort. Majority of the building walls are made with red-earth country bricks. Spread over 2.5 acres of pristine land at the hills of Kovalam Village which is looking towards the Evergreen Western Ghats also known as Sahyadri (Benevolent Mountains) is a mountain range that runs parallel to the western coast of the Indian peninsula. Amara offers 21 Ayurveda Earthen Rooms well-equipped with modern amenities and a clinic with 5 treatment rooms. First Chemical free with natural Salt Chlorination pool in destination Kovalam. A dedicated center for Yoga and Meditation on the top floor the Round shaped house, which is very well ventilated with refreshing view to the Agasthya Hills.
